Kamienna Góra district covers 396 square kilometers of beautiful areas, valleys with many rivers, streams and picturesque mountain ranges, rocks, meadows and forests.
Our neighbouring districts are:
Our district is situated within the borders of the valley of Kamienna Góra, Lubawka gate and the valley of Marciszów. The valley of Kamienna Góra next to the valley of Jelenia Góra and the valley of Kłodzko, makes the biggest valley of the Sudety Mountains. However Lubawka gate since the Middle Ages has been thought to be the best passage in the Sudety Mountains. The main trade routes connecting Wroclaw and Prague were passing here.
Location of our district on the way Szczecin – Wrocław – Prague makes it extremely attractive for investors looking for new areas for their enterprises. In 1997 there was established Special Zone of Little Enterprise in our district, which offers convenient economic conditions ( such as release from tax ) for newly existing economic subjects. Nearness of the Karkonosze Mountains guarantees development of all forms of tourism. Lately especially popular became spending free time on ecological and agrotouristic farms, which are being established so often in these days. Various services offered by these farms attract many visitors, especially tourists from Wrocław and from the countries of western Europe. |
